Vince Russo Gone From Aro Lucha, GRR Intermission, Aerostar News

Vince Russo may be one of the most polarizing figures in the wrestling industry, but he has managed to write for WWE, WCW, and TNA Wrestling over the course of his career. It was announced late last year that Russo had been hired as a script consultant for the upstart Aro Lucha promotion. It was just confirmed by the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Russo is no longer working for the Lucha Libre promotion. There is no word on why Russo is gone from the promotion owned by AroLuxe and backed by Konnan and Rey Mysterio. Konnan told Sports Illustrated earlier this year that Aro Lucha has a TV deal and it should be broadcasted on television by the end of 2018.
The Kickoff show for WWE’s Greatest Royal Rumble event will begin at 11am ET tomorrow morning, and the pay-per-view itself will start at exactly 12pm. The event is currently set to run for six hours, which is significantly longer than most WWE pay-per-views due to the show’s stacked card, but it may also now feature an intermission. According to the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, The Greatest Royal Rumble may feature an hour-long intermission as it is typically a tradition in Saudi Arabia to include an intermission of at least one hour for prayer. WWE has not yet confirmed that an intermission will be taking place during the show tomorrow.
With Lucha Underground becoming an immensely popular wrestling program over the years, it seems that a ton of the roster members from the El Rey Network series have gotten the chance to shine in Impact Wrestling over the past few months. Unfortunately, fans in attendance for Impact’s recent TV tapings in Orlando, Florida have noted that Aerostar appeared to have been injured after a 450 Splash from Andrew Everett took the wind out of him. Fans feared that he may have suffered broken ribs. Despite being helped to the back after the incident, PWInsider has reported that Aerostar is now doing better and he was not rushed to the hospital after the incident took place.
