— WWE Studios will finish filming scenes for The Marine: Homefront in Vancouver this week. The star of the film, The Miz, is expected to return to WWE television in the coming weeks.
— Former WWE superstar John Bradshaw Layfield has a new blog up at WWE.com talking about his ongoing Seven Summits adventure and his attempt to climb the highest mountain in Europe, Russia’s Mount Elbrus.
JBL regretfully announced this week that due to weather conditions, he would be unable to reach the top of the 18,511-foot mountain, but plans to return next summer and try again.
The cold was so unbearable that lips were bleeding and the blisters on his feet are so bad he can’t wear shoes. This was in addition to suffering the debilitating effects of frostbite and hypoxia.
JBL will now return home to train for his next mountain climbing attempt – Mount Kilimanjaro in September.
