After teasing a yellow hoodie with a sparkling Chanel logo back in November, singer, producer and certified style icon Pharrell Williams has released a capsule collection with the luxury fashion house.
The collection, called CHANEL-Pharrell, has a streetwear influence and is unisex, allowing Chanel to dabble in menswear.
Wrought in rainbow colours, the collection includes hooded sweatshirts, terry towelling bucket hats, rhinestone costume jewellery, sneakers and bum bags.
Williams has lent his signature to the collection, intertwining it with Chanel's famous logos, the interlocking Cs, No.5 and Coco.
Williams has walked in Chanel shows and appeared in the fashion house’s campaigns.
In 2017 he collaborated with Chanel and Adidas on a pair of sneakers dubbed by WWD as the "world's most exclusive". Justin Timberlake reportedly snapped up the first pair.
Known for his fashion sense, the Happy singer also offers a masterclass in how to layer pearl necklaces and was last year once again included in GQ magazine’s best-dressed men.
Caroline Rush, CEO of the British Fashion Council, said of Williams' personal style at the time: "Being confident, not trying too hard, having fun and experimenting makes for a leading best-dressed man of the year. Pharrell Williams has great individual style that exudes a cool confidence."
To which GQ added: "Quite possibly the only grown man who makes shorts look cool."
The collection was launched in Seoul at the opening of the house's first flagship in South Korea and is available globally on Friday, including in the Sydney and Melbourne flagship boutiques.
